Computer Aided Design CAD in the 1980′s
In the early 80′s, CAD meant expensive Intergraph computers costing close to a million dollars, way out of reach of small architecture firms. After Apple Macintosh arrived, computers became more friendly and affordable. They were of course still expensive compared to now.
MacWorld Magazine Premier Issue (1984)
I just dug out my 1984 MacWorld Magazines first copy from my store. Going through them, it is amazing to learn that the specifications of the early Macintosh was 128k Ram, 8 MHz processor, with 400k Floppy Disk. Amazing how far technology has advanced since then!
