Designed by architect Ludwig Mies Van der Roche (1886-1969) for the German Pavilion at the 1929 International Expo, the Pavilion was demolished after the show. A replica was reconstructed in 1986 at the same location and is open to the public. This important building in architecture history has greatly influenced the modern style of our times.
